Tibetan Incense Flower (Anthopogon)
Tibetan Incense Flower (Anthopogon)
The main ingredients in this incense are pallu (dwarf rhododendron) and ganden khenpa (a Tibetan herb related to sage; grows especially at Ganden Monastery). Pallu has a subtle floral scent, and unlike American rhododendron, it is non-toxic. Ganden khenpa is burned by Himalayan nomads whenever someone has a cold.
Ancient Tibetan Flower incense is formulated from flowers found in the high altitude regions of Tibet and Nepal, which have been traditionally used as medicines in Himalayan culture. Rhododendron Anthopogon and Ghanten Khamap dried leaves have been used by the people of the Himalayas for stimulating and refreshing aroma. These all natural aromatherapy incense sticks burn well with the refreshing scent of Himalayan flowers.
